Re-looking at physics

Today has gifted me with time to think and I have come upon something interesting. As the human race seeks a unified field theory we may have lost our way. Science quickly attempts to disprove the few theories that have been suggested. Maybe its time for all of us as physicists to take a step back and recheck what we have come to accept as fact. There might be a clue in some of the rejected theories that will open a door to a fast advancement in our understanding of everything. Just as in school when we would finish a paper we would read it closely looking for previously unseen mistakes in advance of turning them in, we should also take the time to proof our work in science, not as individuals but as a whole. I truly believe that a lot of potential knowledge has been lost to a individuals quest to obtain glory. To be a scientist you must have the knowledge and strength to back your thoughts and theories but also have the humility to admit your mistakes.
